Today, I speak with Karen a social care worker with over 20 years experience in her field. Currently she works with young adults with mild learning difficulties who are aged between 18 and 21.
Karen got in touch with me to speak about her concerns about the segregation and discrimination that she feels a number of these young people are facing in their current educational setting due to their unvaccinated status.
Karen also details her own experiences with regard to COVID in this setting. Particularly, she speaks of how unvaccinated and vaccinated close contacts to a positive COVID case are treated not just differently but probably in a discriminatory fashion.
Karen stresses she is not an anti-vaxxer but most definitely describes herself as anti-vaccine passports and believes in a persons right to choose.
