Lovely post Gerry. Evokes memories of Halcyon days of late summer in the 60s Mayo. Back to school, Indian summers, robbing orchards, barbed wire scrapes, sometimes getting caught, threatened with Letterfrack etc

and the bite of the apple - as described by Thomas Flanagan in his historical novel The Year of the French - "like the juices of summer bursting all over his mouth"

This morning my list had an item for Granny Smiths, but alas I had to make do with Pink Ladys

Beautiful Gerry !

The apple's soul is not the skin,

But those who plant and tend within.

Lovely - A few days past, I was reminiscing to myself of my past.

In particular, I was fondly recalling my earlier days of working as a model. We had a local show to put on. It took place, on the runway/stage and one of the pieces of that show, was the old song and dance type number - Don't sit under the apple tree, with anyone else but me...Often, I find myself going back to that time in my life - Thanks to you, I now have made the visit twice inside of a week. Thank you!

Blessings & joy ~
