The European and local elections have been announced for June 7th and it promises to be quite a rollercoaster of an election ride. Last Saturday, in Drumshambo, John Waters and his small campaign team announced his independent candidacy for a seat in the Midlands North West constituency.
I just googled him cos I didn't know a thing about him. That's what I found. Certainly not spreading untruths. I don't know him from Adam! But hopefully he'll be on my ballot paper & despite being from Dalkey apparently, he might get my vote if he's coming from the right place. Never thought anybody from the poshest area of Dublin would have a rural viewpoint. No intention of offending you - sorry if you feel that 🤷♂️
I’m surprised John has chosen the European election rather than the National election,however I’m sure he has a reason.
I wish him every success,as in my opinion,he is a great Irish patriot,with an intense love of our land and it’s people.He’s also an intellectual colossus.
Whilst I have an intense distrust of the political system,I for one would canvass for John.I would love to see him demolish the accepted political parties in that constituency.Could that really happen?? I sincerely hope so.
Sad thing is three quarters of country can't vote for him because of Geography. As you said in a post last year though Gerry President John Waters in 2025 isn't the most deluded dream we could have.
Great to hear Sean Wynne us involved. Heard him in 2020 on a few streams with Niall McConnell and he came across as very honourable.
I am too old to knock on doors, but I do shop everyday locally and talk to the people. I did this during the referundem. I will do it everyday at church, on the bus and definitely in my local shops and in the supermarkets. Evey little helps, will this?
Well at least we have someone who we can trust to get the truth from.cant trust main stream information.nice if we had radio station and have John and people like him to get our information from.honesty will always rise to the top.your a national treasure John.
You can’t knock on doors for the European elections. Numbers required are too high in these 3 huge constituencies. It has to be a battle fought in media.
John is great man hope he gets elected if he was in my constituency in meath wast he would get my vote every time 1 of the few who tells it straight everytime he speaks
I'd agree with many of John's views but wouldnt be committed enough to go knocking on doors. I think he will be torn apart in an election campaign, particularly if he is a genuine contender, due to rehashing things he might have said over the last 15 years. I would prefer if a more main stream politican came forward to represent what I consider my reasonable, main stream views on migration, our children's education , the madness of trans activness, the taring up of our constitution, the madness of covid lock downs, the general wokery of media and political establishment and the importance of free speech. To me these are centre ground views as demonstrated by the recent referendum results.
Waters IS The Pendulum swinging. Imagine the clap of eyes on an election poster that brings, for the first time ever, joy. Whatever the outcome, this is the best news Ireland has received this month, referendum and Varadcreep included. May the votes rise up to meet him.
It's the best news isn't it. Our John is a National treasure, and sooo brave. I'm not sure how voting in the EU elections go. Do you have to vote for someone in your area. I'm North Kildare, so does that mean I can't vote for John is his area. I must find this out
Hi Gerry, thank you for alerting me to this great news, I think you made a very ,no extremely valid point re the censored news we receive, with all the fantastic genuine forensic information on social media including yourself if we could organise a provisional/alternative national broadcast station it would help to save ireland.

John Waters is one of the few Irishmen who has honesty ,integrity and a true love of Ireland and its People.
It is an honor to be represented by him in any political position,be it President, TD or in Europe..
