It’s been awhile since I’ve sat down to write a more personal kind of reflection. I won’t keep you long but I suppose there is news to get off my chest. I should know at this age of my life that when I avoid reflection it is normally because to reflect
Best of luck for the future and your new beginnings. Change can be quite scary but you listened to yourself and knew it had to be done. Wish you all the best and exciting new adventures
A wise person once told me, after trusting Creator in the face of gun wielding thugs, "Once you let go and trust, miracles happen."
It's as if Creator responds, "Good Now, you are finally letting me help you. Continue to hold my hand and trust me. Together let's see what we can do."
Its the only way to live, as far as I can see. I look fwd to hearing what the Creator serves up for you next. :D
Good for you Gerry. We've only one life....and it goes by so fast. A bad marriage works much the same. We only know the freedom, when we get out!! Enjoy your freedom to choose something that lights up your day. Well done.
I have always enjoyed your writing and your YouToob videos, particularly the Wave function Collapse series. You give this American Midwesterner a view into Irish politics and life and how similar the shit storm we are all facing is about the same thing orchestrated the same all over the Western world. I faced the same retirement thing in 2020 as well as moving to a different area of my state all during the plandemic lock downs to flatten the curve and our wills. Scary times! but I am better for it. Now I have time to study and learn. You have also given my vocabulary a refresh with terms like: "Transubstantiation of the sacred needlecraft" when I use that term in conversation, no one ever asks what that means - they all get it right away, "Piano wire concerto", the "fog horn leghorn". Thanks.
You also introduced me to John Waters with one of your interviews. Thanks for that, too. I look forward to what you do in your new incarnation being gainfully unemployed.
Congratulations on unshackling from the system and turning your face to the bright sunshine of the rest of your life! Thanks for your wonderful informative writing and inspiration. 💫💫💫💫
A decision and a little news......
You have a pair of brass ones, man.
Best of luck for the future and your new beginnings. Change can be quite scary but you listened to yourself and knew it had to be done. Wish you all the best and exciting new adventures
Wow. You written this on my husband's bday. He retired Jan 1st. The driving, etc. Now it's transition time. Possibilities are endless. Cheers Gerry
Fair play to you Gerry, as we say in Ireland it'll be grand, God is good 🙏
Wow. Great story. Have done that 3 times in my life: a “Prisoner”-type ”I resign!” Never regretted any of it for even one moment. Bravo!
Boola Bous! If thats the right phrase.
